Most of my clients come to me after years of wondering why life feels harder than it looks like it should be. They're intelligent, capable, caring people who've spent an exhausting amount of energy trying to keep up with a world that doesn't quite fit how they think and feel.
Whether you've recently received a diagnosis, been living with one for years, or are just beginning to recognise the patterns, coaching can help you move from understanding yourself to actually doing something with that understanding.
This isn't about fixing what's wrong with you. There's nothing wrong with you. It's about building strategies, habits, and a way of living that work with your brain rather than constantly fighting against it.
Have an ADHD or AuDHD diagnosis (or suspect you might)
Feel like you're always working twice as hard to get half as far
Struggle with consistency, follow-through, or getting started
Know what you need to do but can't quite make yourself do it
Feel overwhelmed by everyday tasks that seem to come easily to others
Are exhausted from masking or trying to fit into spaces that don't feel right
Want to understand yourself better and build something more sustainable
Coaching with me is a partnership. I bring knowledge, experience, and a genuine understanding of how neurodivergent minds work. You bring your life, your goals, and what you already know about yourself. Together we figure out what's getting in the way and what might actually help.
Sessions are tailored to you, not a programme you have to fit into. We work at a pace that makes sense, and we focus on the things that matter most to you right now.
We start by building a clear picture of how your brain works. The strengths, the sticking points, and the patterns that have been shaping your experience, often without you realising it.
Once we understand the patterns, we start working on approaches that are genuinely realistic for how you're wired. Not generic advice, but strategies that actually account for your brain.
We check in, adjust, and build on what's working. Progress with a neurodivergent brain is rarely linear, and that's fine. The goal is sustainable change, not a perfect performance.

I'm Melanie Carr. I'm an accredited neurodiversity coach with a BA in Psychology and specialist training in ADHD coaching and trauma-informed practice. I know how to do this work properly.
I'm also a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult myself. I've lived the masking, the exhaustion, the relief of finally understanding what was going on, and the work of building something better on the other side of that. That experience isn't incidental to my coaching. It's central to it.
I know what it feels like when someone says the right thing at the right moment. And I know how hollow it feels when they don't quite get it. I work hard to be the former.

No pressure, no hard sell. Just an honest conversation about whether this is the right support for you right now.
Note: ADHD coaching works best as a collaborative approach to well-being.
It complements other treatments like therapy or medication by providing practical skills and support for navigating the challenges of ADHD & AuDHD.
