Hello! I'm Melanie Carr, and I'm passionate about helping individuals with ADHD discover and embrace their unique strengths. My journey began in South Africa, where I grew up and explored various paths before finding my true calling. After studying jazz flute and working at a museum, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.

My career took interesting turns—from customer service in banking, where I built meaningful relationships with clients, to roles in marketing and technology. These experiences taught me the value of innovative thinking, creativity and problem-solving. 

I struggled with anxiety and depression for years, but the pivotal moment was when I received my own ADHD diagnosis. This sparked a deep dive into learning about the symptoms of ADHD and much to my surprise, I discovered the incredible strengths that come with it too. My personal experiences, combined with my studies, allow me to bring both empathy and expertise to my coaching practice. I spent 2024 working on a certificate in ADHD coaching course through the ADHD Foundation in the UK. Having completed the year course with the ADHD Foundation, I am now doing an ADHD coaching course through ADHD Works. 2024 also saw me completing a Level 2 qualification in Mental Health Awareness through Sunderland College.

Now, as an ADHD coach, my mission is to create an inclusive, warm, and positive environment where you can feel understood. I believe ADHD can be a blessing, not a curse, and I want to help you see it that way too. Together, we'll explore your strengths, discover your passions, and develop strategies that work for you.
